Your details, and what we do with them.

This covers the application form and visits to this website.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect your name, your business or organisation, your email address, and anything you choose to tell us about your business. The name, business and email fields are needed so we can reply; the optional note can be left blank. If we go ahead with your website, we send you a private link to our website questions; we keep the answers you give there, in the same place, and use them only to write and design your website. When your website is ready, we send you a private link to see it; we keep a note of when you first opened it and which plan you chose. Both links let you send us feedback; we keep what you send, and we quote it in public only if you tick the box that says we may. This website sets no cookies.

Why

You can also tell us how you found Kiteleo. This is optional and is saved with your application so we can understand where enquiries come from.

To reply to your application, write and design your website, and manage the services you choose. We don’t add you to a mailing list or sell your details.

Who holds them

Kiteleo holds your details. Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the applications we receive in its database service. Its servers may be outside New Zealand and Malaysia. If you choose to pay for an extra by card, you enter your card details on a page run by Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your card number.

Visits to this website

If enabled, we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you: we see which pages are read, not who reads them.

How long we keep them

For as long as you are a customer of ours. When you stop being a customer, we delete everything except the name of your business. If you apply and we don’t go ahead, we delete your application after 6 months.

Seeing, correcting or deleting them

You can ask to see your details, correct them or have them deleted. Email hello@kiteleo.com. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled them, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand (privacy.org.nz) or the Personal Data Protection Department in Malaysia (pdp.gov.my).
