Quince Road Vets

A vet clinic that answers the worried questions first.

A local service site that says when it is open and makes booking the obvious next step.

Design choices

Wanted something unique to the usual, Bright flashy colours for a vet site, this is to stand out from the competition

Quince Road Vets
The top of a bold concept website for Quince Road Vets, cobalt blue with yellow-green: a bright strip reading ‘Open now, until 6pm’ and an after-hours number, a menu, then the headline ‘Sit. Stay. Feel better.’ at poster size beside a tilted photograph of a black and white dog wearing a round name tag, ‘Biscuit, in for his teeth’. Below are a tear-off appointment card asking ‘Who’s coming in?’ with a ‘Book a visit’ button, the week’s opening hours with today lit, and the start of ‘What brings you in?’, which finishes the sentence ‘My dog…’ with lines such as ‘is limping’, ‘won’t eat’ and ‘just isn’t right’.
The same page on a phone: the hours strip, the headline, the photograph with its name tag, and the appointment card with its ‘Book a visit’ button.

Marlow Voss Architects

A portfolio that lets one photograph do the talking.

A portfolio that puts one large image first and lists the work plainly below it.

Two design choices

Showcasing the photographer's work first, this is because their work says a lot about the artist.

Minimalistic design, just like the photograph the site reflects the personality of the artist.

Pocket Sun Coffee

A coffee shop where picking a roast is the first decision.

A product site that is bright and busy and still makes the choice easy.

Two design choices

Each roast has its own colour, so a visitor can tell the three apart before reading a word.

The first button is the decision: “Pick your roast” comes ahead of any story about the roastery.

Pocket Sun Coffee
The top of a bright concept website for Pocket Sun Coffee: a strip reading ‘Roasted on Tuesdays. Posted on Wednesdays.’, a menu, and a yellow hero with the headline ‘Coffee that tastes like Saturday.’ beside a photograph of roasted beans in an arch, then the start of ‘Three roasts, three moods.’ with red, blue and yellow coffee bags.
The same page on a phone: the headline, two buttons and the photograph of beans.
